Winter 2023 Running Events

Raise funds while raising your heart rate at these iconic running events this winter! We're encouraging our supporters to get out there and raise vital funds for autism awareness and inclusion while enjoying a great day out at the same time. Keep reading to find out how you can participate and the very special cause your fundraising and donations will support.

Why fundraise for Autism Awareness Australia?

Our mission is simple: to improve the lives of all Australians on the autism spectrum and the people that love, care for and work with them. We pride ourselves on creating and promoting free and evidence-based information, resources, events and support services to support autistic Australians and their loved ones at every stage of life.

This year, 100% of proceeds from our running events will go towards a very specific and special cause: education.

School is a crucial stage in every child’s life - it’s where skills are learned, friendships are made and confidence is built. Every child has the right to a safe and positive schooling experience where they’re supported in their learning and encouraged to be an active participant in their school community.

With your donations, we’re creating an online training platform for educators to access evidence-based information about autism as well as strategies and resources to support the autistic children and young people in their classrooms and learning centres. By addressing communication with parents, cultural sensitivities, classroom strategies and the benefits of inclusive education, educators will be able to support families of diverse backgrounds while also maintaining their own health and wellbeing.
